This awakening has been about "We the People: making our voice heard for the reformation of our government. But it must also be about "We The Parents..." addressing family governance and how the family is educated and discipled.

It's all about the children. We can't let our children grow up in the artificial womb of public schooling, being indoctrinated by wicked ideologies and used for evil agendas.

Author, Minister, Family Heartbeat Mentor

We The Parents, In order to form a more spiritually unified FAMILY and CHURCH, establish righteousness, and relationally disciple and educate our children in Gods ways, do hereby covenant with our Heavenly Father to be parented by Him, to learn how to parent as He parents us, to learn how to meet our children's soul-felt needs, and love them as God loves us, to raise them up for the glory of Jesus Christ.

As a parent, I declare that it starts with me. I will endeavor, by the grace of God, to receive God's correction and instruction to my heart in His ways so that as God parents me, I will be empowered to parent my children for Him.

"Marilyn, your saying, 'It Starts With Me', has stuck with me...and also AIM (Attitudes, Intentions, and Motivations). I can't tell you how powerfully the Holy Spirit has used these reminders in my life and in sharing with others!" ~ Betsy B

"I love that! 'It Starts With Me'! YES!!" ~ Liesl E

"The bad fruit I see in my family (Older kids with closed hearts and losing their love of learning, strife between siblings) has something to do with me and how I've treated them with my selfishness. I've been distracted by saying 'yes' to many ministry and homeschool co-op opportunities that God didn't ask me to do. The solution to my bad fruit starts with me following my Helper, the Holy Spirit, to the cross when He points out some selfish motivation that needs to get taken there. Right now, my family is finishing up our commitments in a homeschool co-op we've been part of for years. We're sad to lessen connections with the other families there, but excited to dive into our unique learning processes. We're all in unity about the decision! I'm ready to be completely available to love on my kids and help them through their daily conflicts."  ~ Heather D

"I need to become more regulated within myself, as i learn then i can teach them." ~ Glenys G

I can’t lead my children on paths I haven’t walked. My Children will do as I do. It is wrong of me to expect them to do as I say if I am not doing it. I need to cooperate with the Lord and allow him to parent me, renew my mind, transform my heart and then from that place of wholeness in Christ, I can love on my kids unconditionally and parent them with grace, mercy and understanding.” ~ Tanya H

The training I need to receive from the Lord is the same training I need to give my kids.” ~ Michelle G

If I don’t have a close personal relationship with Jesus, in consistent worship and prayer, there is no way I will be able to help my family know Him and see our family culture change.” ~ April M

I can’t help my children stop doing something that I am not willing to stop doing. I can’t teach them something that I am not willing to learn myself. God can’t add new lessons if I don’t learn the current ones. It all starts with me!” ~ Carol C

Focus on and let the Lord work on me before I can help others.
~ Jill G

"Mom really is the heartbeat of the family and home. If I wait for my husband, our children or our circumstances to change first, then nothing will. I have to take responsibility for my own relationship with the Lord and begin to obey the Holy Spirit as He speaks to my conscience. As I do, I receive the instruction to first change me and then I can help them. It starts with me!" ~ Monica A

When I cooperate with the Lord and allow Him to disciple me, He equips me to disciple my children.” ~ Soria T

"My walk with the Lord directly influences my children and my home…as I obey the Lord’s leadings and grow closer to Him I am leading my children to do the same." ~ Michelle A

What's good for my children is good for me! If I want to see change in my home and our relationships I need to first examine my own heart and relating habits, letting the Lord parent me first so that I can parent my children according to His ways of love. I cannot expect things from my kids that I am not already walking in myself, expecting them to be more mature than I am. (One example was when I would get angry at my kids for being angry with each other.) It all starts with me!"
~ Kelly W

I need to change me first before I can guide my kids to change. They watch how we act and follow what we do. How can I expect them to act better than I am!?! When I set a good example, then they have a good example to follow. I can't do it on my own though. I need God's parenting to show me how it's done. I'm loving the book as God parents you so parent your children by Marilyn" ~ Rebecca M

My obedience brings blessings in every aspect of my home."
~ Cindy D

My AIM (Attitude, Intentions, and Motivations) need to be connecting in with the Lord. As I understand His will I bring loving correction and instruction to my family, discerning what their true needs are. He will help me correct and instruct my family when I obey the Lord. And choose to be 100% wrong. I must admit to my family how I have sinned against them. With time and the Lord's help, I can turn my relationships around, like a ship turning around." ~ Jeri P

If I give up when it is hard, who do my children have? I have to daily take up this cross in front of me and follow the Lord. Only then will the path be made straight." ~ Christine S
